To be a good bartender you have to be consistent, you need a solid culture of classic cocktails, you have to be attentive to details and need technical skills, but to be a very good bartender you need also a good interaction with your customers, memorize their faces, their names, their favourite drinks.

Every day, before I start my work I read the news papers and browse a couple of websites just to keep my self informed - said Dimitri. It is important for a bartender to be able to talk with customers about the latest events, sports, music and movies. For me it is the best way to create a long and lasting relationship with my clients.

For the Silk Road I have created an extensive list of new cocktails and recipes. I am working with premium spirits, fresh fruits and a large range of liqueurs and some fantastic flavours like liquid dark chocolate or liquid toffee.
